REMEMBER

Yesterday’s wars and struggles gone
The dropped down tears have dried up
The downtrodden is now raised up
Think about the tearfully planted seeds
That have brought these fat proceeds
Have you forgotten the co-runners of yesterday?
Who never completed the race to see today?
Remember the strongholds before now
What about the sleepless long nights?
The wet days under Eko Bridge?
Think about the lonely path toured
So soon forgotten how the story goes
Remember the hell before the help
The thirst, hunger, homelessness
Don’t forget your transition between then and now
Someone somewhere is wearing your formal shoe
Extend a help for a difference!
