I pledge this

I PLEDGE THIS
My life the greatest pledge i give
To give my best even on a bended knee
Saying the truth in the city of deception
Walking tall in all that i do
To boldly look the world in the eyes
To challenge wickedness with good deeds
To cry for the poor until i am heard
Of what use is my voice anyway if can’t
Scream aloud for the dumb?
These gold and diamonds speak for me
Only as long as i live
Only my deeds can outlast me
My offsprings i am not sure
If ever they will speak after me
But my attitudes i bet
Wind ! only sweat you can blow away
The smoke of my deeds never can you
These wicked and destructive footsteps
I pledge never to reckon with
Friends i rather lack than to befriend
These impostors wanting to take my words
Away and bring back me luxury
I pledge never tp dance to this
Rythym of shame
I rather die with my hands dry
Than to live with my hands blood soaked
I pledge to keep my conscience in order
I pledge to be the rich without a cry
Because i will never make them cry for
Possession of richies to come
I shall bend till i break if that
Is the price for my pledge
When they say
‘let us go deceive, kill and destroy
i pldge to follow them not
because when the whirlwind comes along
only the house of the wicked will crumble
thus, i pledge to uphold justice, decency
morality and hardwork only to quit
the moment this breath of mine
forever goes away
I take a bow
I take a pledge
With an unbreakable will
I pledge this
